Almost every Thursday at 7pm UK time I join a weekly Twitter Chat organised by the wonderful Wine Communicator Sorcha Holloway, @ukwinehour. It’s almost two years since I first discovered this eclectic group of people who share a love of wine. UK Wine Hour has been an amazing inspiration for me and was instrumental in renewing my interest in wine, leading me to rediscover English Sparkling Wines, then begin my blog so I could write about visiting vineyards, which was followed by invitations to attend industry events, then encouraged to study for my WSET Level 2 qualification, culminating in being invited to judge The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly Awards and the People’s Choice Wine Awards last month. UK Wine Hour attracts participants from across the wine industry, from all over the world; producers, promoters, retailers, writers, wine tourism organisers and PRs. We get together to talk about all things Wine, from predictions on this year’s harvest (great) to discussions led by industry experts.

Tonight’s session was led by Simon J Woolf, author of Amber Revolution, the first book on the subject of Orange Wine, now seen by the industry as a new and growing trend but in reality, a wine style / method of production that has existed for hundreds of years.
